Sustainable seafood isn’t a slogan to Flying Fish, it’s our livelihood. Flying Fish maintains a membership to 1% for the Planet and SurfRider’s Ocean Friendly Restaurants.
Our president Lyf Gildersleeve is a conservationist at heart. He wants to ensure that in the future his kids get to enjoy the bounty of the sea and the resources that we all get to enjoy today. He currently serves on the policy board for Marine Fish Conservation Network, based in Washington DC, along with a position on the Highly Migratory Species Subcommittee for the Pacific Fisheries Council.
In these roles, he has advocated for the renewal of the Magnuson-Stevens Act in Washington, DC, and written a number of essays on fisheries policy, linked below.
